Week 1 thoughts -- anyone have strong feeling on any of these games?

One thing that jumps out to me is lack of big lines. There are a few right at 7, but not seeing a single line this week of more than touchdown. I feel like we could see a lot of favorites prevail this week with these tighter lines, which kind of goes against the Week 1 underdog instinct. I expect we see some jump to over a touchdown by kickoff. I think Colts should get back over 7, and I think Seattle line should be pushed to 7 if not 7.5

Anyone have strong feelings about this week about certain games, the lines in general, etc?

Over 44.5 n the Cincy game. Both teams had weak defenses LY.
Both should be improved on offense this year.

Detroit +3' (vs Philly)

Last season Philly beat Detroit in Detroit 44-6. It was the Lions' eighth consecutive loss to open the season. Philly led 41-0 before Detroit even got on the board. This was the ultimate beatdown and the very lowest point of the Lions' season. The following week was Detroit's bye. They regrouped and came back with a tie in Pittsburgh, followed by close losses to Cleveland and Chicago before getting their first win of the year in Week 13 vs Minnesota, They covered seven of their last nine after that beating by Philly, including their last four home games. Detroit turned the corner after that thorough embarassment by Philly. They get them at home again on Sunday. I'm sure that every Lion has had this game circled in their heads since the schedule came out.

Lions eat Eagles.

That Eagles/Lions game was in week 8 but you mention it's the eighth consecutive loss to open the season for Detroit.

The game I will pound will be SF @ Chi. I love the under of 41.5.
Both offenses are terrible with Chicago now having a better defense.
Plus playing at Soldier Field is like playing in quick sand. Bears might cover but the play for
me is the under. 21-16 SF.
Detroit's secondary is trash. The Detroit coach is a roid freak who is
on the steps of a loony bin. Philly wins big 35-10.
In CFB lay the wood and bet Michigan -51 vs Hawaii.
I saw a medicore Vandy pound them into submisssion and Michigan
will be up 49-0 at half.
Good luck to all.

Miami/New England total is intriguing, which is weird because I'm not much of a total player

Really want to play the under 46. Would've pegged it as like 41 or 42. I think Patriots gonna try to pound the rock and control the clock/muck it up a little

Should be a tight game regardless.

A little nugget I got on local radio while driving is that George Kittle missing practice today with a groin issue. Line still 7, not sure how serious it is.

Like that NE/Miami total un46 as I don't think NE will put many points on the board and a smart coach would keep Tua in game management mode.
I'll take the Vikings on the moneyline as I think at this point in the season they are better than GB and also remember the Packers first game last year where they got blown out at NO. Rodgers may build with this receiver group, but too much to ask in game one.

IDK about Minny/GB

This feels like a statement game for Minny, and GB may feel like they want to squash them/show them whose division it is. Doubt they come out flat like last year

Hard to fade the regular season version of Aaron Rodgers

It's hard to say SF's offense is terrible without really seeing Trey Lance in a real meaningful game yet.

Indianapolis.... dominated Houston last year. The Colts swept the season series by a combined score of 62-3!

Bengals... "We knew the work that we needed to put in during training camp to prepare ourselves for the first week," Taylor said. "I'm not looking beyond that, because we know how big Pittsburgh is Week 1 at home -- and how big a divisional game is, period. It's important to open up with great energy in front of your fans and start the season 1-0."

4:00

Titans... Giants generated only 287 yards and 15.2 points per game last season without the dominant defense to make those below-average numbers hold up.

Chiefs.... The Chiefs listed no players as not practicing or limited for Wednesday's practice, while the Cardinals had eight.

The week Jimmy takes over for the 49'ers, I will make a big bet on them to win the SB.
